From July 2015 – March 2019, I worked on four different iterations of one project: Kate. Kate’s not really a ‘who’, but a ‘what’. Kate is an implementation of IBM’s AI platform, Watson, across several customer-facing systems. Kate not only sells policies, but answers questions like a counselor does.
We sent GEICO’s first ever AI-based quote-and-sell app to production in fall 2016 (an app that’s still picking up awards today), and the company continues to work on innovative ways to serve customers across GEICO’s many lines of business.
I also led two different quantitative metrics efforts to define success for the Kate projects. In both efforts I designed data collection and reporting for each application, one a web-based auto sales app and the other an IVR-based renters sales app.
